Field note 07 · Privacy

Your garden,
your data.

The short version

You can play typebloom without an account. Without signing in, your garden is stored only in this browser's local storage.

If you choose “Continue with Google,” your Google name, email address, account identifier, and typebloom progress are stored in Cloudflare D1 so your garden can follow you to other browsers. No advertising trackers, analytics scripts, or marketing cookies are used.

What is stored

Why it is stored

Cloud data is stored only to provide the cloud-save feature you request by signing in: restoring your garden on another device and keeping a backup. Google verifies your identity; typebloom never receives your Google password.

Who can see it

Your cloud save is linked to your account and is available only through your signed-in session. Data is not sold or shared for advertising. Typebloom uses Cloudflare for hosting and storage and Google for sign-in; those services process data under their own policies. Data may also be disclosed if required by law.

Deleting your data

Signing out stops cloud access but keeps this browser's garden. In the in-game account menu, “Delete cloud save and account” permanently removes your account row, session records, and cloud save. You can also clear this browser's local garden with “Start the garden over” in Field notes; when signed in, that action also deletes the cloud save.

Clearing site data in your browser removes the local copy on that device.
